General Safety Precautions for Hydraulic Breakers

⚠ WARNING! Read Before Operation

Operating a hydraulic breaker requires proper training and knowledge. Untrained operators risk serious injury or even fatalities. Please read this User Manual carefully before use.

1. Operator Safety

✅ Always operate the machine only if you are physically fit and fully trained.
Never operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Avoid wearing loose clothing, jewelry, or uncovered long hair—these can get caught in moving parts.
Wear the required protective gear, including:

  • Hard hat
  • Protective glasses
  • Gloves
  • Reflector vest
  • Safety boots
  • Hearing protection (for prolonged use)

2. Safe Operation Guidelines

Ensure bystanders are at a safe distance to avoid flying debris.
Inspect the hydraulic breaker daily before use—especially hoses and electrical connections.
Keep a first aid kit and fire extinguisher nearby and know how to use them.

3. Safe Maintenance Practices

Only trained mechanics should repair or disassemble the breaker. If unsure, contact your ROCKAGE representative.
Never modify or substitute parts without ROCKAGE Engineering approval—this may cause hazardous failures.
Tag the machine with a "DO NOT OPERATE" sign before performing maintenance.
Turn off the engine and remove keys before servicing to prevent accidental movement.

4. Nitrogen Gas Safety

Use only nitrogen (N2) to charge the cushion chamber—other gases may cause an explosion.
Always relieve gas pressure before disassembly—residual pressure can cause sudden movements.

5. Lifting & Handling Safety

Use only certified lifting devices (straps, slings, chains, etc.) with the proper load capacity.
Always use designated lifting points when hoisting breaker components.
Never work under a suspended load.

Failure to follow these precautions may result in serious injury or equipment damage.
